The Wealth Navigator Process

No cost

We will explain exactly how the team can help before you pay us a single dollar

3 big answers

At the end of the second meeting, you will have the answers to your three biggest wealth questions

15 minute call

It all starts with a 15 minute call with team leader Richard Dri

  • WHY: To help you and us make an informed decision about working together
  • WHAT: A complimentary two meeting process, resulting in a customized financial assessment answering three critical questions.
  • WHO: Pre-retirees/retirees, Widows/Widowers and business owners with investable assets in excess of $500,000.
  • WHERE: The two complementary meetings are held at our midtown office or virtually from the comfort of your office or home.
  • WHEN: After the 15-minute call, we set up a mutually convenient day and time, typically between Monday and Friday during normal business hours.

The Rosenberg-Dri Financial Group calls their unique process “THE WEALTH NAVIGATOR PROCESS”

Here’s the step by step process:

STEP 1: Schedule a 15-minute call

A 15-minute phone call will give us (you and I) a chance to make sure your financial situation matches our specific expertise. If we are not the right wealth advisors, we will do our best to recommend other advisors who may be able to assist.

STEP 2: Meeting

The next step is to visit our office or participate in a virtual meeting using MS Teams. During this hour, our team will hope to identify and understand your financial goals, any concerns you may have, your opportunities and your strengths.

Prior to our meeting, we will request a few important documents. This data will help us answer three critical questions.

STEP 3: Analyze

Our team applies 25+ years of expertise, a proprietary investment strategy and a unique set of wealth planning tools to answer the three critical questions for you. They are:

  • Have you achieved financial independence? If not, we present a plan to help you get there.
  • What is your definition of rich? We will help you determine this and then provide our recommendations for meeting this definition of “staying rich
  • Is your business structured so that you “never retire”? If not, we provide recommendations on how to structure it based on best practices.

STEP 4: Review the Analysis

When our analysis is complete, we schedule a second in person meeting at our office or a virtual meeting. During this meeting, we answer the 3 critical questions.

At the end of the meeting, we will ask if you wish to work with our team or if you wish to think it over.

If you decide to work with Rosenberg-Dri Financial Group, the team opens the necessary accounts and we set future meetings to implement the financial assessment.

STEP 5: If you’re thinking about working with us

We are seeking long-term client relationships, therefore we believe it is important that we are both 100% committed and engaged with the wealth planning and investment management process.

To help you make your decision easier, answer the following questions:

  • Do you have confidence in the Rosenberg-Dri Financial Group, Scotia Wealth Management and ultimately our parent company, Scotiabank?
  • Do you understand the applicable fees, and do you believe they are fair for the value we provide?
  • Do you support our evidence-based investment process?

We will follow up within a few days to determine how you wish to move forward. If you decide that we are not a good fit, we completely understand and have no hard feelings. In fact, if possible, we will provide introductions to other advisors you may wish to meet with.

How do I know if I’m a good fit?

We offer great value when we focus on complex situations for entrepreneurs and incorporated professionals (like doctors, veterinarians, chiropractors, dentists, accountants, lawyers). We combine our expertise with those of Scotia Wealth Management’s in-house specialists (estate, insurance or family business specialists) to produce a comprehensive and customized total wealth plan.

Our typical client criteria:

  • Pre-retirees or retirees;
  • Individuals who are between the ages of 40 to 70 and are determined to keep working on their business until circumstances force them to exit;
  • Recently lost a spouse or partner;

Still have questions?

Unlike a commission-based transactional financial advisor, our fees are based on the complexity and needs of the client and our fees are discussed, agreed upon and we are fully transparent.

We charge a single fee which includes the management of all your investment accounts and provides comprehensive and customized financial planning on an ongoing basis as per our discussion with you.

There are four important things about our team that separates us from others:

  • We concentrate our work on business owners, incorporate woman professionals and widowed individuals. This allows us to focus and specialize on the specific needs we believe is needed.
  • We limit the number of clients we serve. This allows us to spend the time required to provide customized and personal service.
  • We have developed our own proprietary investment models which are used to guide our investment strategies.
  • We are part of Scotia Wealth Management and can provide clients with a wide array of specialists to help solve complex business and personal financial issues.

If you are seeking an advisor that trades stocks based on the macro picture or a “gut” feeling or you believe that you should be able to “beat” the market each year, we do not provide this service. We fundamentally believe that to invest wisely, one must keep emotions at bay and follow an evidence-based investment strategy that is untainted by rumour, hype or get rich quick stories.
